We have new concrete on the floor and wanted to protect it from water, dirt and winter salt. It has done it's job. If there is a lot of snow on the underside of your vehicle it catches the water as it melts in the ribbed channels, but it does need to be pushed out with a heavy broom otherwise the water can run over the mat. I plan on ordering another mat for the other side of the garage.
